About Uitvlugt Farm House
Uitvlugt Farmhouse is a beautifully restored, rustic old farmhouse that offers the perfect country escape for larger groups. Featuring three sunny lounges with fireplaces overlooking the farm and its dams, it provides a warm and welcoming setting for family holidays, business conferences, or team-building retreats.
Fly-fishing is available in six well-stocked dams, all within walking distance of the farmhouse, making it an ideal destination for anglers and nature lovers alike.
Uitvlugt is especially well suited to larger groups looking to enjoy the peace and beauty of the countryside together.
The Space
Guests are welcome to explore the farm and surrounding area on foot or by mountain bike. The farmhouse offers a private and secluded setting, while the owners live approximately 6 km away.
Guest Access

Other Things to Note
The access road may be challenging during the rainy season, so please check with us before your arrival. Bakkies and SUVs generally have no difficulty accessing the property.
Uitvlugt is fully off the grid and powered by a complete 220V solar system.
With minimal light pollution, the farmhouse is also an excellent place to enjoy spectacular stargazing on clear evenings.

The rustic old farmhouse was perfect for a big family and our dogs. Lots of space, well equipped. Loved cooking on a gas stove in an authentic farm kitchen. Water pressure was excellent. Fishing was fair. We enjoyed walking the dogs in the field and seeing the cows and sheep on our doorstep. It was peaceful and a good place to unwind and enjoy family time in front of the fire or around the big table. Thank you to Heleen and Dewald.
This is a good location for a large group of guests who want to break away to the highveld countryside.
The old farmhouse allows for privacy and a beautiful nature scenery.
Topping it up, you have an opportunity to do some trout fishing in the private farm dams.
To aid with the cold highveld winter chill (apart from some red wine) there are fireplaces within the house to warm up the living areas….
What a beautiful, scenic stay! We loved every second of it. The old farm house gave a homey feel and we loved disconnecting from our phones for a bit. Also, great water pressure and super hot water. We LOVED the fire places! We did manage to catch some trout with no experience which means that the dams were well stocked.
